We held an intensive and interactive half-day event for an audience of early-career researchers from all scientific disciplines.

Client brief

Women in Great Sciences (WINGS) and Lund University Faculty of Medicine’s Future Faculty and Careers Centre aim to support early-career researchers in their professional development. Coordinators from these organizations requested us to deliver a half-day seminar on how to successfully apply for research funding. The audience consisted of early-career researchers from all scientific disciplines. We were also asked to prepare and moderate a panel discussion with experienced researchers that had served as reviewers for important funding agencies in Sweden.

What we did

We modified our workshop on grant application writing to develop an interactive seminar to suit the large audience at Lund University. In addition, we prepared a set of questions for the panel members to further complement the seminar material and provide additional insights to the participants.

Outcome

A half-day event delivered on Lund University’s campus to an audience of about 80 researchers from all scientific disciplines. See our write-up from the event here.
