We were asked to support LiU-CircM – a multidisciplinary research network focusing on circulation and metabolism – in identifying research collaborations, training researchers in grant application writing and supporting them in writing individual applications for funding from Swedish funders such as the Swedish Research Council and the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation.

LiU-CircM – a strategic research network at Linköping University and Region Östergötland

We delivered a 1-day workshop in Linköping, attended by researchers affiliated with LiU-CircM.

We adapted our workshop on grant writing for a multidisciplinary audience interested in understanding and mitigating circulation-related and cardiovascular metabolic risk factors.

We adapted our standard 1-day, interactive workshop on How to write successful grant applications for the multidisciplinary audience of researchers affiliated with LiU-CircM. Before the workshop, we reviewed and analysed sample grant applications written by researchers in the LiU-CircM network. We incorporated excerpts of these in the workshop material to illustrate best-practice principles taught in the workshop and discussed further improvement of the sample applications.

How the project was received

“Elevate Scientific made important contributions during the startup phase of the Strategic Research Network in Circulation and Metabolism at Linköping University (LiU-CircM). Members of the network have highly appreciated the particular skills of Elevate Scientific regarding facilitation of meetings and workshops as well as grant writing support (both group-based and on individual basis). We will definitely continue to use their services.”
